Czech Citizens Provide Urgent Support to Flood-Affected Areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Published: Oct 4, 2024 Reading time: 2 minutesThe Government of the Czech Republic, through humanitarian aid (Czech Aid) and the Czech NGO People in Need are pulling together their resources to provide immediate support and relief to those impacted by the flooding across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Czech Aid and People in Need are making an immediate donation of 25,000 BAM in non-food items to the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Jablanica to support their response to the recent natural disaster. The funds were provided by Czech Aid and individual citizens of the Czech Republic as part of People in Need’s Club of Friends programme. This donation will enable essential assistance to local communities in their efforts to cope with the effects of the floods.
The damage is not limited to Jablanica alone. In the days ahead, People In Need and Czech Aid will continue exploring how to support the communities of Konjic, Kiseljak, Kruševo, Fojnica, Hadžići, Drežnica and many other areas to recover from this horrific disaster.
Both Czech Aid and People in Need stand in solidarity with all affected communities and continues to actively seek ways to further support recovery and provide assistance to those who need it most.
